The Evva Store at Master Lock and Safe

Mechanical locking systems

Evva mechanical systems ensure the necessary levels of protection and security for all locks in buildings and facilities.

EPS technology

EPS (Extended Profile System) is a further development of EVVA's successful pin systems. EPS excels due to its patented, multiple-overlap key profile. Authorisation is checked on several security levels.

Benefits

  • 5 active scanning components and up to 20 additional  scanning positions check locking authorisation
  • Solid, double-action pins ensure optimum security
  • Patented longitudinal profile
  • Key with optimum bitting angle
  • Integrated check for tampering
  • Optimum wear resistance due to use of special nickel silver keys
  • Technological, managed and legal key protection, thanks to copying protection, security card and patents.
  • Available in compact and modular design

3KS & 3KSplus technology

The 3KSplus 3-curve system stands out due to its unique, patented, springless operating principle. Unlike conventional locking systems, in the 3KSplus cylinder the locking elements move along the curves on the key and are not driven against a spring force.

The technology in detail: 12 solid, springless locking pins are brought into specific positions via positive control of the 6 key curves and are scanned via 2 control bars. A locking bar in the plug controls the key's cross-section profile.

The 3KSplus key is scanned a total of 4 times during the locking action – three times more than in other systems. The springless locking pin function guarantees optimum wear and pick resistance. This technology provides innumerable potential variations for cylinder locking systems.

Benefits

  • Particularly wide scope for potential variations in mechanical locking systems: Highly complex locking systems can be implemented with overlapping hierarchies.
  • Reversible key
  • Springless locking pin function (provides picking protection and optimum wear resistance)
  • Modular design
  • First rate technical protection (copy protection), organisational protection (security card) and legal key protection (patents).
  • Flat radial tracks ensure optimum wear resistance and operational reliability.
  • Each locking system is unique.
  • Round cylinder design from 18 mm Ø possible without limits on variations.

MCS technology

MCS (Magnetic Code System) ensures triple security due to

  • one magnetic and
  • two mechanical codings.

The cylinder plug features 8 rotating magnet rotors, which have 4 corresponding magnet pills in the key. When the key is taken out, the rotors always end up in a different position. Each key magnet pill can be magnetised on both sides, separately from the others.

If a key with appropriate magnetic coding is inserted, all the magnetic rotors are aligned with the locking position. Two control bars are pushed forward via radial tracks and the key opens or locks the door.

Mechanical control takes place via a profile system (length profile) and a positive-controlled locking pin scan on both sides of the key with tampering control.

Benefits

  • Each lock and each key are unique.
  • Triple security provided by one magnetic and two mechanical (profile and locking pin) levels of coding.
  • Technological protection (copy protection), organisational protection (security card) and legal key protection (patents).
  • Modular design
  • Samarium cobalt 5 permanent magnets ensure a long service life. They cannot be re-magnetised or de-magnetised using conventional methods.
  • The coding undergoes two separate checks as the key is turned through 360°.
  • Wear resistance is provided by sealed locking elements.
  • The exceptionally wide range of variations allows complex access control hierarchies
